Hello,
I would like to know if trados 2014 runs with Linux (installed in my case on a Dell Inspiron 15; Intel core I7, 1,80 GHz, RAM 8,00 Go, system 64 bits). Thanks in advance for your answer!
Sincerely yours,
yves minssart

Trados don’t run under Linux. It’s Windows-only.

So what? SDLXLIFF can be processed by OmegaT, MemoQ (runs on Linux via Crossover). Perhaps, by Wordfast Pro, Heartsome Translation Studio as well. But the question was about Trados.

I tried to Install Trados on Linux many times, but unfortunately Wine doesn't seem to like Trados' installer (or "chainer") very much. I even tried to install each component individually, but it didn't do any good. Your only chance to get Trados up and running on Linux is by virtualizing Windows, but that'd defeat the purpose and you'll experience performance losses (especially if your computer isn't powerful).
