In railroading, slack action is the amount of free movement of one car before it transmits its motion to an adjoining coupled car. This free movement results from the fact that in railroad practice cars are loosely coupled, and the coupling is often combined with a shock-absorbing device, a "draft gear," which, under stress, substantially increases the free movement as the train is started or stopped.

rozciągnięte, aby zachować pożądaną prędkość.
Przy zwalnianiu również należy pamiętać o zmniejszaniu i zwiększaniu

0, zanim spadnie napięcie silników trakcyjnych.

When starting off, it is good practice to advance the throttle
promptly to a notch that will start the train moving. Once you get
moving, you may need to back off the throttle once all the slack is
out in order to maintain desired speed.
When decelerating, it is also important to consider the action of
slack running in and out on the train. Always avoid reducing the
throttle from high power to idle before allowing traction motor
voltage to decay (reduce).
