English term

referenced to a base date

English to French Tech/Engineering IT (Information Technology) Standard transfer specification - electricity meters
Firstly here is the definition of the STS : The Standard Transfer Specification (STS) describes a secure message system for carrying information between a point-of-sale and a meter, and is currently finding wide application in electricity metering and payment systems.

I am not very familiar with this type of IT technology and would therefore really appreciate your input, suggested translations and/or comments

Here is the context:
Each credit token has a unique token identifier (TID) encoded into the 20 digits to prevent token replay at the meter.
The TID is referenced to a base date of 1993 and will run out of range in 2024 (known as the TID Rollover event), thus causing the prepayment meter to stop accepting new tokens.

My attempt so far:
Chaque jeton a un identifiant de jetons (TID) encodé en 20 chiffres afin d’éviter la réutilisation/réinsertion du jeton au compteur.
L'identificateur/identifiant de jetons est référencé à une date de base de 1993, et [....] en 2024 (connu sous le nom d'événement de mise à jour TID) qui empêche ainsi le compteur d'accepter de nouveaux jetons.

Your help for a better translation/formulation of this expression/phrase would be appreciated

I am aware of the poor quality of my attempt indeed!

Thank you Tony, for your comments. How about "remise à zéro" or "réinitialisation" then?
Tony M Jun 5, 2020:
@ Asker First of all, the TID is unique, and identifies one particular token, so I think your translation of this part needs work.
Also, for the 'rollover date', your suggestion of 'événement de mise à jour TID' seems to me off the mark; 'rollover' in essence mean that it starts again from zero (except in this case it's not actually 'zero'!).
The principle is not unlike words wrapping from the end of a line back to the beginning.

C'est un système basé sur les secondes écoulées depuis une date donnée en 1993.

C'est tellement à propos ! Merci mille fois
