Hola ProZistas!

Necesito su ayuda.

Acá el context:

En cambio el contraste de fases proporciona visiones inmejorables de la relación cario-citoplasma que las hacen inconfundibles.

Cómo se llama esta "relación" en inglés?

Muchas gracias,

Nuclear features of malignancy include: high/variable nuclear to cytoplasmic ratio; variation in nuclear size and shape; abnormal multinucleation (i.e., variably sized within same cell); variable number of nuclei/cell; prominent nucleoli of varying size, shape, and number; abnormal mitotic figures; and irregular and/or coarse chromatin pattern.

Nuclear atypia was recognized by: enlarged nuclear diameter (or nuclear width of a columnar/oval cell) reaching at least twice the diameter of a normal small resting lymphocyte; increased nucleo-cytoplasmic ratios; irregularities of nuclear outline; dark or coarsely uneven nuclear chromatin

The most consistent features in malignant atypical cells were: i) high nuclear and cytoplasmic (N/C) ratio ii) nuclear pleomorphism iii) nuclear margin irregularity iv) hyperchromasia and v) chromatin abnormalities

relation between caries/tooth decay and the cytoplasm

My version here.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Muriel Vasconcellos : It has nothing to do with tooth decay. The prefix is karyo- in English.

In that case, it's rather strange that I'm the only one to get a "disagree" here!

Below is a page from the original Chambers article. The karyoplasm is the cytoplasm of the maturing egg. I think your text is referring to the rate of contrast uptake, so that it can be visualized.
