Hi again,
Another doubt here: On the letterhead paper of the Office of the High Comissioner for a CommonWealth country, there is the following info:
Telephone: XXXX
Fax: xXXXX
Cables: XXXCOM, LONDON
Telex: XXXXXX
What do they refer to with "Cables"? Does anyone know how this system works?
Many thanks in advance.
Cecilia

Comment: "Thanks to everyone. Because of being a text inside a letterhead paper, I went for a short option of "cable". However, I like the option proposed for Manuel for another context "dirección cablegráfica" o "dirección de cable"."

Se refiere a la dirección del cablegrama de la empresa, creo que es eso.

dirección cablegráfica
En el español de Venezuela se dice “dirección cablegráfica”; es un sistema similar al telégrafo.
Saludos cordiales,
Manuel
