Discussion

Maureen Dolan (asker) Oct 17, 2008:
Encadenado and acelerado Hi, I finally got the correct translation for these from the horse´s mouth as it were - the client himself who is a TV producer. And of course it is all much simpler than we thought. Fade and accelerate, both nouns. Thanks to all of you who helped, hope you can add these to your glossaries.
S Ben Price Oct 16, 2008:
A photo montage (sequenced pictures - for "encadenado") also can give the idea of the movement of time. It's a long-shot, but I can't find/think of anything else.

More info utilizando para marcar los pasos de tiempo acelerados y encadenados que permitan al espectar hacerse la idea del cambio en pocos segundos con la intención de dar mayor dinamismo y modernidad al proyecto

This is for a documentary and outlines the kind of camera techniques to be used to create a dynamic look to the images to be braodcast.

I would be more confident if I could see the whole sentence.

This leaves the question of what "encadenados" is - some possibilities: possibly "sequenced" (like a photo montage) or less likely time-lapse or stop-motion.

it says "... mayor dinamismo y modernidad ..." - time lapse makes sense with this, but fast motion would imply sort of comical "keystone cops" kind of stuff. So maybe it's "time lapse and sequenced/transioned shots" but I'm not sure of either.

I meant to say "transitioned shots"
