Italian to English Tech/Engineering Surveying

I'm pretty sure they mean teh parts where the shutters open, but I haven't found a term in English in my dictionaries, I'd rather not say opening, any ideas?:

Le bucature di dimensioni ridotte (mezzanini e sottotetti) hanno serramenti a due ante, con una o due specchiature per anta; man mano che cresce l’altezza della finestra, la struttura resta identica ma aumenta il numero di specchiature.
