[provision of Art. ..Law ..] is valid exclusively throughout the Italian Territory

..or the territory of the Italian Republic (but in this case will not include San Marino).

L'italiano è pleonastico..

Peer comment(s):

neutral Andrew Bramhall : But your suggestion is open-ended; it could be valid in other sovereign territories as well, whereas the original states ONLY in Italian sovereign territory, and NOWHERE ELSE. (And San Marino is an independent country anyway!)

Italian term (edited): nell'ambito spaziale del territorio italiano.

on Italian territory

To translate "within the spatial confines of Italian territory" would add no mean and probably leave the reader confused and wondering over the extra use of unnecessary words. A territory is by definition a spatial area with bounds.

But I have emphasised this Oliver with a totally unnecessary word which I have added, which is "territory". To take the emphasis out I would just have written "in Italy". To emphasise further WOULD BE LIKE SHOUTING to an English native speaker.

neutral Andrew Bramhall : But your answer doesn't emphasise the exclusivity of the territory; on Italaian territory and nowhere else; sometimes you need the extra " unnecessary" words to convey the correct meaning clearly.
