agree John Walsh : "tappeti tessuti" is "woven rugs" - Naturally in this context you would use "...rugs woven by..." or you could say "...Ute and Navajo woven rugs..." or "...hand-woven Ute and Navajo rugs...". I'm sure mbatrad had that idea as well.
