English term

Ishmair + Wick

English to Spanish Art/Literary Names (personal, company)
First of all, I'd like to know if Wick is a first name's man in Scottish as I'm translating a scottish short film without subtitles or script and I understand something like Wick as if it was a proper name.
The same happens with something like Ishmair or so. Is it also a proper name? What is its origin?
Thank you very much for your collaboration. I'm so thankeful.

Ishmael (Ismail) + Wick

Wick is the name of a town in Scotland, but it is also a (rather unusual) boy's first name: Wick: A boy's name. An Anglo-Saxon word meaning "A Castle".

Ishmael
Gender: Boy
Pronunciation: EES-mah-el
Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: "God listens."
Notes: Biblical: the son of Abraham by Sarah's Egyptian slave woman Hagar. Among his descendants were Bedouin tribes and Mohammed (seventh century), founder of Islam. Literary: because Ishmael was cast out to wander in the desert, the name is often used symbolically, as in Herman Melville's novel "Moby Dick." Ismael is the Spanish form; Ismail is Arabic.
Variants: Ismael, Ismail, Ysmael, Ysmail

I don't know if you're looking for a translation or just an explanation but I don't think proper names should be translated, even if there is an equivalent in the target language.

Ismael?

If the other character you mention is of a Hispanic origin, Ismael is a rather well-known and popular name in some Spanish-speaking countries.
