Russian numbers in Excel थ्रेड पोस्टर: Chris Bascand

Does anyone know how I can override Russian numbering in Excel?
An example, Seventy million, in Russian > 70000000.00
In English this should read 70,000,000.
But the settings won't let me put commas in. Does anyone know how I can change this? Thanks. Chris Dawe. | | | Natalie Poland Local time: 18:32 सदस्य (2002) English to Russian + ... यस फोरमको मध्यस्तकर्ता SITE LOCALIZER
This should be changed in Windows, in local settings.

Hi Natalia, thanks very much indeed. Do you mean from Control Panel? Merci, Chris. | | | Natalie Poland Local time: 18:32 सदस्य (2002) English to Russian + ... यस फोरमको मध्यस्तकर्ता SITE LOCALIZER
No need to change the country, of course, just set the necessary style for numbers.

You can also change international settings directly in Excel (and for Excel only). In Excel 2003, go to Tools, Options, International (or similar, I don't have the English version).
However, the example you gave is NOT Russian formatting (to my knowledge). Russian uses the decimal comma, not the period/full stop. So, this is only a matter of missing English thousand separators, which could still be English formatting. You can change that under Format > Cells > Numbers. | | | Chris Bascand New Zealand Local time: 06:32 Portuguese to English + ... विषय आरम्भक
Hi Adam, thanks very much, do you have any idea where I can find these in Excel 2007? Cheers, Chris. | | | Adam Łobatiuk Poland Local time: 18:32 सदस्य (2009) English to Polish + ... Re: Excel 2007 | Feb 9, 2011 |
Hi Chris,
Unfortunately, I'm still using Office 2003, but as far as the International options are concerned, you should be able to find them in the Help (good keywords could be international, separators, decimal).
To format numbers in cells, you can probably Select all, then right-click and select Format cells.
Good luck!
