I believe it will be released... eventually. However, by that time most of their loyal customers will have lost faith in the product. Translation is a fast-moving business and CAT tools that lag behind get left behind.

... "Add-on" for Studio and MemoQ files. Without DV I would have to look for alternatives (perhaps CT). I assume, all who still (voluntarily) stick to DV know its advantages and why not to work directly in the before mentioned major CATs favored by most of the agencies.

Developping this idea I can say — wooden plough remains unchanged more than 1000 years.... But who uses it today?
I think there is enough requested features for new version.

A more pessimistic Interpretation would be that there will be no more versions, this is the end of the line. Then there will be compatibility problems with newer versions of Windows and MS Office.
