Re: At what time? Jan 27, 2007

I understand COB (close of business) is agreed upon. In figures: 6-7pm... or anytime later you can make. What really matters is that you be there!

I live slightly off Rio and definitely will not get clogged in the road traffic, so I can take over the role of being there by 5pm and make the arrangements ("expandable" table, individual billing etc.)

Re: At what time? [2] Jan 27, 2007

I strongly advise those who can manage to get early to do so: the sunset by the Lagoa shore is worth the effort!

ProZ red-tape Jan 27, 2007

I understand that besides being a good opportunity for metting people and taking pictures, the Powwows are also an opportunity for certain ProZ bureaucracies -- like credential verification and the like.

Would you, Alicia, try and get the information on ProZ requirements for that?

TIA

Re: At what time? Jan 27, 2007

I live in Lagoa a few meters away from the Arab so I'll be there at 5pm to advise Guilherme about the possible table expansions and other logistic arrangements.

Few meters? Jan 27, 2007

Joao wrote:

Well, Joao, have you moved?

Or are you going to use you marathonist experience to make the almot half Lagoa perimeter from your home to the Arab in "a few meters"?

Re: Few Meters? Jan 27, 2007

Dear Guilherme,

Distance, as well as time, is subjective. Boredom can expand the sensation of time, and pleasure may be experienced as lasting less than it actually does. The same applies to distance. Maybe for you the other side of the Lagoa looks as far as Niterói, but for me it feels just a few meters away from where I am.

Time and distance... Jan 27, 2007

Don't be modest, João, our translator in the marathons...

Poetry (which is highly inspired by the Lagoa shore) aside, what you call "few meters, is a 30 min walk to me.

Do come early. Your help not with the tables, of course, but with a chilling bottle of white wine will be highly appreciated (smile). And of course, botar a conversa em dia vai ser bom tbm.
