I'm translating a document from the Chilean Ministry of National Defense. Here is the context:
CONTROL DE ARMAS Y ELEMENTOS SIMILARES
ARTÍCULO 1.- El Ministerio de Defensa Nacional a través de la Dirección General de Movilización Nacional estará a cargo de la supervigilancia y control de las armas, explosivos, fuegos artificiales y articulas pirotécnicos y otros elementos similares de que trata esta Ley.
Sin perjuicio de lo señalado en el inciso anterior, la Dirección General de Movilización Nacional actuará como autoridad central de coordinación de todas las autoridades ejecutoras y contraloras que correspondan a las comandancias de guarnición de las Fuerzas Armadas y autoridades de Carabineros de Chile y, asimismo, de las autoridades asesoras que correspondan al **Banco de Pruebas de Chile** y a los servicios especializados de las Fuerzas Armadas, en los términos previstos en esta ley y en su reglamento.
I am fully aware that "Banco de Pruebas" means Test/Testing Bench, however, I'd just like to check with any Chilean military experts out there if there is an official way of saying this.
I ask because when I search for "Chilean Test Bench", "Chilean Testing Bench", "Chile's Test Bench", "Chile's Testing Bench", "Test Bench Chile" and "Testing Bench Chile", I'm not getting any results really....
Any suggestions?? Am I totally on the wrong track here? Any help much appreciated.
