Italian term

a veletta

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Other Heating and ventilation
Context: describing an air vent, the text says:
"puo essere installato anche in orrizontale a parete o a veletta"
The client's explanation was:
"termine architettonico che indica un rilassamento tra il soffitto e la parete che nasconde, ad esempio, un canale d’aria".
I have no idea what it means and research on the Internet has yielded nothing. I'm sure this is one of those things you either know or don't know.

can be mounted horizontally on a wall or plenum

Took me a while..this was a tough one
from wikipedia..
Plenums in buildings are enclosed spaces that are not for human occupancy, but are often used for heating, ventilating, and/or air-conditioning equipment and airflow, and for other equipment such as cables, piping, and luminaires. 'Plenum boxes' or sections are portions of HVAC air handlers or terminal units.
