no. it is a much smaller mask...looks almost like a ski mask, used to protect from sand and ............bullet shells (antischeggia)?

anti shrapnel face shield

Wouldn't think this type of face shield would also include breathing/ anti-gas apparatus. Simply for anti-shrapnel effectiveness - like the ones worn in Iraq. Gas masks and full ballistic protective helmets and shields are heavier and restrict movement so are not suitbale for patrolling duties.
