polyhedral angles
Restiamo a disposizione :-).

To get a solid angle, imagine three or more planes passing through the center of a unit sphere. The area of the surface between the planes on the unit sphere is the solid angle, in steradians. The angle between two planes is termed dihedral, between three trihedral, between any number more than three polyhedral.

: OK, your first and third references have convinced me, although your second actually undermines your case.

Comment: "I decided to go with this one even though I'm not sure (based on your second example) that the more general term "solid angles" wouldn't be more technically correct in this case - but that would mean that the use of "angoloidi" in the original text was incorrect - my job was to translate, not correct mathematical inaccuracies, so... Thank you very much to everyone for their suggestions!"

: "Angoloid" is not an English word. I think you mean "anguloid"--which is a rarity and which I would avoid.
