Italian term

all’uscita

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) esiccatore stirante - press dryer
E’ possibile rilevare la temperatura dell’aria di essiccazione e del fluido riscaldante consultando il termometro situato sul quadro elettrico all’uscita. Per la regolazione della temperatura (vedere ISTRUZIONI centralina di termoregolazione )

Discussion

Oliver Walter Feb 12, 2006:
I expect it's a switchboard located on the part of the machine where the dried material comes out, hence my "at the exit".
Ivana UK (asker) Feb 12, 2006:
clarification:
Does "all'uscita" refer to the switchboard itself or to the press dryer?

at the outfeed

Hi Ivana,
The electrical board is at the outfeed of the dryer where the pieces leave the machine. The infeed is where they enter.

at the exit

From the limited context, I can't tell whether it's the uscita
(a) for the air or people, in which case "exit" is probably correct, or (b) for some kind of signal cable or bus where it's information, not air or people, that comes out, and then it would be "output" instead of "exit".

OK, so people don't come out! I was thinking it might be a drying chamber that people can enter. Presumably it is in fact a machine that presses and heats, and we don't want to do that to people.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Jennifer Levey : the question is headed ' .... press dryer..' - I hope there are not too many people exiting via this machine's outlet!
