un buon compromesso tra l'aspetto tecnico e fruitivo

Discussion

luskie Nov 20, 2010:
anch'io sono d'accordo con alfredo, ma qui fruibile implica una facilità d'uso che confina più con la godibilità che con i benefici ottenuti, e la differenza tra enjoyable e reader-frendly può essere abbastanza sottile :)
Giles Watson Nov 20, 2010:
Alfredo's answer is best. The magazine is "easy to use" as well as authoritative. If it were merely fun, it would be "divertente". In a publication offering technical information, "fruibile" implies some benefit to the "fruitore" as well as enjoyment.
luskie Nov 19, 2010:
sono d'accordo con phil (che potrebbe inserire una risposta): la rivista è piacevole da leggere = è tecnicamente valida MA non al punto da risultare incomprensibile e/o noiosa.
Joel Schaefer (asker) Nov 19, 2010:
It may mean fun, but I suspect an element of tangible reward or fruitfulness. And yes it's angling, I should have added that.
philgoddard Nov 19, 2010:
Doesn't it just mean fun or enjoyment? And (since you've classified your question as fisheries), is the hobby angling?

reader-friendly

Or, more generally, user-friendly.

"Fruitivo" isn't meant to mean "fun" but, in short, "easy to use/enjoy". Someone who could write fair to middling Italian - instead of trying to invent the word s/he needed - might have written: "compromesso tra validità tecnica e fruibilità".

As philgoddard hints, this is related to "fruire" (see also "fruibile" and "fruibilità") - only distantly related (in its remote Latin origin) to "bearing fruits".

So you might consider something like: "reliable on technical matters but still reader-friendly"

Grazie. Come avrai visto, io sono sempre per le differenze (quando posso), e più sono sottili più mi diverto ... :-)

useful

I suppose it means something that "bears fruit" in the figurative sense.

"a mix of the technical and the practical"

In other words, it describes the kit and how to use it.
