Could it be a typo? I think it should be morbidi rather than morbiti. In this case amaretti morbidi is soft macaroons

Baked Soft Macaroons

1/4 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
7 oz pkg coconut
4 egg whites
1 tsp almond extractAdvertisement:

Opt: 1 cup chopped almonds (nix on this option for Cabinlady )

Preheat oven to 325. Combine flour, sugar, salt and coconut in a mixing bowl. Mix well.

In another bowl, whip egg whites until light and fluffy. Add to coconut mixture, along with almonds.

Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack.

Makes 2-2 1/2 dozen soft cookies.
