the sense of the other
It is widely used in sociology and psychology.
This said, I would suggest waiting before translating the title. Some other good ideas (catch phrases used throughout the documentary, remarkable quotes, and so forth) could come up once you've finished translating the whole thing.
"Firstly, and in line with Short et al., social presence is used for the sense or perception of another, that is, the projected presence of a person. Secondly, social presence is used for the experience of being present, that is, socially present in an environment which includes another. The former is the ‘sense of the other’, the latter, the ‘sense of being with the other’...

ourselves among others
Maybe a first person rendition might work in your context, namely how the Albanian people are perceived by other people and cultures

awareness of others
I think that we must be talking about awareness; I think that sense of others may not be applicable in English. I belileve that more context would have given your colleagues a better chance to help you. I am suggesting awareness just to stimulate thinking. The native speakers of English will put their thinking caps on... but without context... who can even think... cap on or not!

otherness is defined as strangeness: the condition of being perceived as strange or different - more food for thought.
