I guess you're translating something related to Renzo Piano's church in San Giovanni Rotondo ;-) Croce "a bliancia", in my opinion, is something completely new, a shape invented by the architect for this particular cross. That means that the cross is shaped like scales. I would say something like "scale-shaped cross". I don't know if it's right...
