In order to enhance operator safety and improve Coker Unit efficiency, the coke drums have been modified to be equipped with Special Valve® Guard Device™ Coker Unheading Devices on the bottom of the drums. The Guard Device™ device is a specialty gate valve specifically designed for the demanding cyclic conditions of the coker environment.
