Tienes razón, "motivación causativa" se me hace muy literal y como que se "siente" la traducción en ese término. Creo que se refiere a la motivación que viene a consecuencia de algo, por eso es que sugiero "motivación por causa". Suerte con el texto... que suena muy interesante!
