English term

charcoal wash

English to Spanish Art/Literary Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting drawing
This is from a list of mediums used in works of art for an exhibit at a museum:

Charcoal
Charcoal wash

By the way, I thought "carbón" and "carboncillo" were the same thing, until I saw in google an art course where they would teach you "todas las técnicas secas: lápiz, carbón, pastel y carboncillo". Is there a difference in English as well? Thanks to all.

Have a look at this thread: http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=42942
I seem to remember that there are charcoal pencils and charcoal sticks.

carboncillo acuarelado
