parental responsibility

There are various options that can be used in this instance, including all of the previously suggested answers. I think the most common (legal) term in the UK, however, would be "parental responsibility(/ies)", as evidenced in the link provided...

Peer comment(s):

neutral Stuart Robertson : close to being correct, however should be "parental". IMO "care" is also included in "parental responsibilities" by default, thus it is superfluous to say "care and parenting..."

There is a clear difference between "parental (ouderlijk)" and "parenting (opvoeding)" --> parenting responsibilities (opvoedingstaken). To me, "care" and "parenting" are not exactly synonyms and try Google "care and parenting responsibilities"

Dutch term (edited): zorg- en opvoedingstaken

child care and parental responsibilities

I know it flows better if you omit the word "care", and that the latter implies the former, but I think it should be left in the translation, as there is a slight difference in meaning between parenting (parental responsibilities) and caring (care responsibilities).

"een gelijke verdeling van de zorg- en opvoedingstaken tussen beide ouders"
=
"an equal sharing of child care and parental responsibilities between both parents"
