Dutch term

wv

Dutch to English Medical Medical (general)
Medisch rapport, anamnese. De zin is: "Bekend met DM [diabetes mellitus] wv insuline en CLL [chronic lymphatic leukemia] wv miltextirpatie"
Does this mean: Known to be suffering from DM for which he takes insulin and CLL for which he had a splenectomy??
Help appreciated.

west virginia

In the net, almost all articles about insulin and diabetes mention wv, and most of them refer to West Virginia. Does this make any sense?
Note from asker:
Thanks for the suggestion, but that really doesn't fit the context.
