rooftop extension

This term refers to the permament installation designed by the artist Olafur Eliasson to cover the roof of the artmuseum. You could refer to it as a "rooftop extension" of a "permanent installation on the rooftop of the museum"

"Your rainbow panorama, 2007
Winning proposal for the rooftop extension at ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum
Denmark."

agree Christine Andersen : I think this is as close as you will get - the expression is not terribly meaningful in Danish either, for people who have not at least followed some of the discussion about AroS, and preferably visited it, with or without Eliason's work!
