Spanish term
Interventor
I'm not sure if "receiver" or controller would work in this case. References I'm finding online mention these two men as being in charge of running the company and once as supervisors. I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance

Proposed translations
(Arg. YPF) Administrator; (E&W) Receiver-cum-Manager (Receiver and/or Special Manager)
Subinterventor : Sub-Receiver & Sub-Manager (two different people in this case?), -Adminsitrator or -Inspector may work better than 'Sub-Supervisor'.
NB entry 1. receiver 2. administrator, manager 3. inspector of elections) 4. statutory auditor of a *partnership* > West.
Interventor: receiver; trustee (in E&W vs. the USA, a trustee-in-banbkruptcy is usually of a private indvidual), Butterworths. and auditor or inspector, Alcaray and Hughes.
*Not* really an Administrative Receiver - in the UK, appointed under a security, like a company debenture : 'The term "receiver and manager" does not refer to a specific type of receiver but is a generic term used to refer to a receiver whose powers include the power to carry on the business of the company (effectively the managing agent of the company). An administrative receiver is therefore a receiver and manager.'.
NB administrator in the US & E&W: 'one who has been appointed to handle the affairs of a person who has died intestate', Barron's US Law Dictionary.
'Administrator' : in foreign (non-US) bankruptcy systems, persons appointed by the *court* (here, the Arg. Govt.?) to administer the debtor's business during bakruptcy, Glossary in 'Courting Failure' 2008 by US Cal. Uni. Security Pacific Bank Prof., Lynn Lopucki

Alcara*z* and Hughes.
Bs. As. La presidenta argentina dijo que dictó un decreto para intervenir desde el lunes la petrolera YPF, luego de anunciar un proyecto de ley para expropiar el 51 por ciento de la empresa....
USA: Subtrustee means the trustee appointed by the Investment Subcommittee to act as trustee of a *Subtrust*;

Gracias and thanks, Patrick. Government-appointed literally lost me 'confidence'.

Gracias and thanks, Chris. Government-appointed literally lost me 'confidence' and the DTI / UK Dept. of Trade and Industry appointment of 'Inspectors' seemed not only too Anglo-centric, but also caused me a 'Sub-Inspector' dilemma for US consumption..

Auditor
A receiver usually deals with cases of bankruptcy-type situations.
A comptroller, although similar, is something else again:

If you can cut through the semantic overlap, I think you'll find that "auditor" is the most likely catchall term in most cases.
The chief audit executive (CAE), director of audit, director of internal audit, auditor general, or controller general is a high-level independent corporate executive with overall responsibility for internal audit.

You reckon? Still, surely a neural would have sufficed....
