A sentirla (pronunciare) pensi che non accadrà mai
"Sounds like" in genere vuol dire "sembra" etc ma nel contesto mi allontanerei dalla traduzione letterale e adotterei una soluzione più naturale in italiano.
E comunque "sounds like" fa riferimento al suono della parola "menopausa" nel contesto. Cioè la parola, quando la senti dire, ti dà questa impressione.
Altra soluzione più letterale, anche se mi piace un po' di meno:
"dà l'impressione di qualcosa che non succederà/capiterà/accadrà mai"
o
"... che non succederebbe/accadrebbe/capiterebbe mai"
