The following is from a report of clinical case studies where 3D imaging is recommended. I am not familiar with the precise terminology. Also, does the whole expression refer to the existing prosthesis or to a new proposed one? Any help appreciated.

La patiente veut supprimer sa prothèse complète maxillaire par une structure implantaire transvissée ; le premier cône beam réalisé montre un os atrophié d’où l’obligation de faire une greffe d’apposition maxillaire bilatérale importante."
