I am translating the academic regulations for an undergraduate study program in Physiotherapy (Laurea in Fisioterapia) offered by an Italian university.
In the regulations, a course in Neurotraumatology and Neurosurgery teaches, among other things, "traumatologia della colonna vertebrale".
What would a good American English equivalent be?
Would "spinal traumatology" work? Not too many hits on Google...
