German term

steuerliche Fallstricke

German to English Bus/Financial Law: Taxation & Customs
This is from a description of a presentation given at a conference held by a large German corporation that offers audit, tax and advisory services. There’s nothing else in the text that would shed some light on the term. Tax trap? In relation to negotiation tactics or to acquisitions in insolvency scenarios? A Fallstricke is a snare or trap.

Tax pitfalls are perfectly fine with me, Kim ;)
Note from asker:
Thanks, Sharon and Johanna. How about just "tax pitfalls"?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you very much Sharon. I liked Frosty's fiscal booby traps too."

fiscal booby traps

My first thought:

fiscal = anything to do with taxation and finance,
booby trap = something that looks to be rather innocent but can cause a lot of damage if heed is not properly paid.

But would it fit in with the general tone of the paper?
Peer comment(s):

neutral Birgit Gläser : Love the booby traps, but not really suitable here as booby traps are set up intentionally to blow someone up

Not always, though that is their usual application! The bucket of water balanced between door and door frame to upset the teacher (schoolboy and cartoon gags) is also a booby trap, isn`t it?

Fallstricke
