Buenos días, estoy traduciendo una carta que trata justamente de la baja de un siniestro por prescripción. ¿Cómo lo traducirían? Encontré "alta de siniestro", pero no sé cómo poner la "baja".

My guess would be that if this document is indeed about an insurance claim, then the "alta de siniestro" would be the notification of a claim for damages, and I would understand the "baja" to be the termination or cancelation of that claim.

My guess would be that if this document is indeed about an insurance claim, then the "alta de siniestro" would be the notification of a claim for damages, and I would understand the "baja" to be the termination or cancelation of that claim.

agree  Luis M. Sosa: Yes. I think expiration fits much better than cancelation, however it is somewhat redundant with respect to time limitarions. But we need to keep in mind contracts (including insurance policies) are at some point redundant
