When writing in Spanish and/or Portuguese, should we treat an anglicism like "wallet" as a masculine or feminine noun? My doubt is within a scientific genre context in the field of computing, where wallet is a digital concept.
Thank you in advance!

There is not a one-size-fits-all solution, but generally extranjerismos take the gender of the translated word, unless common usage has dictated otherwise.

Without seeing the context, I'd rather translate it as "la billetera virtual" ("la wallet" is just... awful). I would even rewrite everything to avoid using articles if you *must* leave it in English.

Also, in general, if it's an app name (or part of an app name), then I believe it's more common to leave it in English, while if it's an app/SW function/feature, then it would be more sensible to treat it just like any other feature name within that app/SW (and probably translate it).
