Find and replace are crucial features in any editor, including a CAT tool. These actions can take a lot of time, so any smart implementation is very welcome here.

CafeTran Espresso

Find and replace is one of the strengths of CafeTran Espresso. Not only can it be case-adaptive (like Ms Word), but you can find and replace simultaneously in your project segments and in the assigned TMs. You can also find and replace in assigned glossaries, source terms or target terms.

It is also possible to run batches of replacements. And there is a feature to find characters within the target segment editor, i.e. to move the text cursor directly behind a found character. This is very handy for quick case conversions and tag placement.

Furthermore, CafeTran Espresso can extract regular expressions from the source segments and collect them in a file. You can use this to create a list of non-translatables etc.

OmegaT

In OmegaT it is also possible to do F&R in the project and in the TM at the same time. Case-adaptive F&R is not available. However, additional criteria can be selected for F&R in TMs (such as the person who created or modified the translation, the date and time of the translation/modification, or whether or not to exclude orphan segments).

OmegaT has a history for the replace strings and the find strings, while CafeTran Espresso has only the latter.
